Phtographs of Russia and Central Asia's minority populations with a particular focus on the Old Believers of the Altai, a group of Eastern Orthodox Christians who rejected the reforms of Patriarch Nikon of Moscow between 1652 and 1666. Also includes the Kyrgyz, West Siberia's Khanty and Nenets, and the ethnic groups and sub-groups of Daghestan. The first half contains 93 photographs from the early 20th century and the second half has 103 color and seven black and white photographs from 2010. Villages are identified.
